He has directed the sound for at least 8 recital productions.  This is a gigantic feat as we have well over 500 in attendance and approximately 24 dances are performed which have to be coordinated with sound, lighting, timing, etc., and Erik has always produced a marvelous job as director of the sound and all that goes with it. I have had the awesome responsibility of coordinating 3 major dance conferences here in the Middle Georgia area.  Erik has also overseen the sound for these conferences.  Along with setting up and operating sound and recording in 6 or more different areas (at the same time) for over 250 participants, Erik also coordinated our nightly meetings which constituted setting up for live bands to come in and play.  He oversaw and administrated over 25 "helpers"; the amount of people it took to run the sound, etc., smoothly.
I could take up multiple pages in a letter to tell you about the many fine qualities that Erik has.  But I believe that it will suffice for me to say that Erik is top-notch in his field(s) and would be an asset to have for ANY sound endeavor.  I do not know what I would have done without him! 

Erik Matlock is the anchor of any production. I have worked with him on several projects and I have been impressed by his technical knowledge and professionalism. He is always my first choice for sound, video, and set design. I have known Erik for 10 years and he always delivers the best product in the most pressing time restraints. He has a vision for every show and he always protects the interest of the production. He knows how to assemble a team of sound and set technicians and he has rapport with the director.
